Marcel and Riana were in ministry for
38 years.
During this time they witnessed the fruitful effects that camps have on people’s lives and the corporate unity and spiritual growth it offers. Marcel retired in 2019 and experienced the Lord’s guidance to get involved in the facilitation of group camps. An opportuinty arose with the VCSV campsite in Tulbagh and Marcel and Riana asked for confirmation from the Lord to purchase the land.
Riana especially asked for verses relating to ‘fountain’ and ‘water’ and they received confirmation 5 December 2021 through the following 2 verses:
JOHN 7:38
Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’
ISAIAH 58:11
And the LORD will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.
Their prayers were answered and they took transfer of ownership in April 2022. Their prayer is that each one who visits Uitspan will be physically and spiritually renewed when they leave. The water comes straight from a fountain 2 km away in the mountains and is extra refreshing. Their hope is that the natural water and the heavenly water will bring new life and joy.
